phone notes

so, it seems that about once a year i retype all the notes and thoughts i wrote on my phone onto my computer.
the last year has been so good. here are some of the things:

  1. i hardly noticed it, but i have conformed to the world. when a bus breaks down and i need to be somewhere, i get angry and think about demanding that i have my way. i think about demanding for my money back and another bus pass and being a man and whatnot. instead, the godly thing to do would be to praise god that i was able to suffer in the place of somebody else. every bus breaks down, thank god that the bus broke down with me inside rather than someone else.
Phil 2:4 "look to the interests of others."
  2. being 'right with God' is not the same as 'not being wrong with God'.
  3. Christians are often like jews back in biblical times.instead of separating ourselves from the samaritans like the jews did, we separate ourselves from non-christians. we try not to be so similar to them. we also try not to interact with them too closely. we treat them like lesser beings.
*in john 4 and 5, the disciples go to get food for jesus to eat. they come back and they urge jesus to eat. jesus replies, “i have food to eat that you nothing about - to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work”.
we aren’t supposed to eat the bread, we are supposed to live on mission and save the people jesus died for.
  4. when i lay my hands and pray for someone, i do not hope that they are just comforted by my prayer. i hope that beyond me, they are comforted by you. your comfort is what lasts.
  5. do whatever you need to make you my only hope.
i want to ask myself this question more: “is there anything that would ruin your life if it was taken away? if so, stop putting hope in it and hope in jesus.”
  6. “you keep bringing me sacrifices to ease your mind, but it’s your heart that I want.” –kristine Mueller “mercy"

  7. Prostitution is about men masturbating in women’s bodies. – Swedish woman from nefarious: merchant of souls

  8.  Choices are powerful, but not when there are no problems. – banning liebscher

  9. It’s hard for us to think in eternal values because we consistently dismiss them from our lives. We think: “I’ll die before I’m 100” rather than “I’m going to live forever.” They are both true, in a sense, but one acknowledges the eternal while the other dismisses it. –tommy erdos (2012)

  1. Who could of thought phone notes could bring so much conviction.
It reminds me that revelations often come in the middle of the day, when we're caught up in something and all we can do is jot it in our phones...
that God revelas to us through out sporadic moments. So good!
