lunch break today:
my question is often, "what if they don't get healed?" or "how cool would it be if they got healed?" or "how embarrassing would it be if they didn't get healed?"
This shows reveals the difference b/w Jesus as a man and me. We both had the Spirit, but You were genuinely concerned for the person, whereas I am worried about my reputation. These questions show that I view healing in terms of myself and not in terms of the other person.
The question I ought to ask is: "how much better would their life be if they got healed?"
By asking myself this question, I can take the focus off of me and put it onto the other person.

lunch break still:
after reading luke 15.
when I am worshiping in a huge crowd, or fellowshipping at a conference, i will be ready to leave the flock and go for the one lost sheep. i will be on the lookout.
it is also better to leave the fellowship and go after the one than to stick to the schedule and neglect the one.
the church may not be happy, but you are. maybe i can explain that to the church.

rezweek:
today, while emily was sharing her and ethans healing story, i felt your call to go for the one. there was a girl sitting on the couch. i tried to wait for a good time to go, but the story was getting longer and longer. and then, right as i was getting up, the story was coming to a close. i left and went to go talk to the girl sitting on the couch.
we were inside the prayer tent, so i assumed she was the actual prayer leader. i felt terrible for a while - we were in a huge group int he prayer tent but we weren't including the prayer leader!! no wonder you called me out.
and then i just had this understanding to just let her do what she had planned. so i asked her if she was the leader and if i could pray with her. she told me she had some things planned and we went through everything she had until 9p. then this worship started blaring and it was getting hard to hear and her shift was up and we moved out to worship!
ONE NOTE: it was hard for me to pray for real. i felt awkward in there. i was trying very hard to be real in my prayers, but it came out awkward.
