Unchanging

i never knew why the 'unchanging' characteristic of God was important. i never knew why it was so cool. why can't God change? how does that make him less powerful? doesn't that make him weaker?
but he showed me.

it started with this idea - the next moment that comes is always the same. there's ALWAYS the possibility for a good thing or a bad thing, a positive or negative, a blessing or a trial. and this never changes.

so it's not fair to say that God is being mean to us when we KNOW that any of these things could happen. since we're living in a world with spiritual war, we should expect some things to be good and some to be bad.
HOWEVER, we can know ALWAYS that God has love for us, that He's fighting for us, and that He is faithful to us.

and the idea is this: the next moment always has the same possibilities.
that means that there's always hope. even when the past 9 days have been terrible, there's hope that the very next moment can be good.

it's the unchanging nature of God that allows for hope.
